Across the Kingdom, limited employment opportunities in rural areas and villages are reflected in the high unemployment rates amongst Saudi women, estimated at over 31% nationwide, compared to just 6% amongst males (source: Saudi Arabian General Authority for Statistics, Q2 2019).
Through Namat's network of tailoring centers, employment opportunities for women are created, promoting social and economic development across the Kingdom, and supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
